Afghan woman runs for vice-president

Habiba Sarabi is one of three women bidding for the vice-presidency. She is Supporting Zalmay Rassoul. Sarabi does not want the rights of women to fade away when foreign troops leave. She wants to increase female education in Afghanistan. Many girls in Afghanistan aren't properly educated. When Habiba Sarabi decided to get a pharmacy degree her father did not approve. Until she was able to treat him when he was dying of kidney failure. She says,"I used my skill and I was very kind to him so at least I can prove that the daughter can also be very helpful. In our society they think that the daughter cannot help us, it is only sons." This is a bold and dangerous thing to do as a woman. She has received many death threats. But she continues to bid for office. What  do you think? Do you think this progress is good or bad? I personally support this when we have rights the country as a whole gets better. After female suffrage in the US many things got better, vaccines were created and education rates went up. That is one of many reasons why I sup[port women trying to get their right in other countries.

Sadly, The missing plane has been thought to be in the India Ocean. We must pray for the families of those who lost loved ones. This is a melancholy story. At least this brought closer, but many loved-ones of the people are currently mourning the lost lives. Let us pray for them. Remember our persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ and pray

Many Christians around the world are persecuted for sharing the gospel and meeting to have church. You can be fined sent to jail and even killed. As Christians we need to speak up for our brothers and sisters in Christ. Sadly, many of these occurrences go unnoticed by Christians around the world. A 87-year-old, Yegor Prokopenko, in Kazakhstan was fined for holding a worship meeting in his house. He was fined 1,000 dollars. Which is about to months salary in Kazakhstan. Also in Iran, an American pastor, Saeed  Abedini, is being jailed for sharing the gospel. He has been denied medical treatment. We should pray for Christians who are being persecuted around the world.

What is God calling you to do?

You may be like me wondering. What does God want me to do for him? It is hard to figure out right? It seems like God has to tell us a thousand times before we even get the tiniest hint. Maybe this keeps us searching for God always wondering. Recently, I have been thinking a lot what is God calling for me to do. I feel that God is calling me to volunteer doing something this summer. But it is tough to figure out what exactly he is saying. Sometimes it feels like his voice is a whisper in a storm. As Christians we should wonder what is God's plan. According to God's word he has good plans for us, although they may not be easy. I almost guarantee they won't be easy.

Jeremiah 29:11

New Living Translation (NLT)

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

Why won't it be easy? Most things worth attaining aren't easy. But God will walk along side you during the good times and the bad times. It is hard to attain Holiness which we all seek, but God will help you.

Matthew 7:14

New Living Translation (NLT)
14 But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.

The way is narrow and difficult. I will encourage you with these words from the Holy Scripture.

Philippians 4:13

New Living Translation (NLT)
13 For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.

Remember as a Christian that God will always be with you.He will tell you what he is calling you to do just be patient and you soon will know where He is calling. He loves you and he has a purpose for you. So What do you think God is calling you to do?

Russia in Crimea, A new Crimean war?

What do you think about the recent news surrounding Ukraine. Well, in Ukraine specifically in Crimea the Russian Military has been occupying Crimea. Because of the violence in Ukraine. President Obama wanted President Putin to withdraw his army. But President Putin responded with holding on tightly. Ukraine was previously apart of the Soviet Union until it fell. The Ukraine President was kicked out from his country because of the deal he made with the European Union. Ukraine Parliament is supporting the succession  of Crimea. If this happened Crimea would become a part of Russia. Many Russians in Crimea are supporting this move. Should President Putin back off?

The Forgotten Mozart Maria Anna Mozart

The Forgotten Mozart
By: LorrayyaWilliams

Maria Anna Walburga Ignacia Mozart a prodigy, but not remembered. Why was she overshadowed by her brother?  Who was she? Maria Anna was the first prodigy in her family. “My little girl plays the most difficult works which we have … with incredible precision and so excellently,” her father, Leopold, wrote in a letter in 1764. “What it all amounts to is this, that my little girl, although she is only 12 years old, is one of the most skillful players in Europe.”  He father encouraged her talent, but wanted her to be a wife and mother in her older years. Growing up her family was well immersed in music.  She loved it and was very skilled. She even played a role in her brother’s musical interest. But why aren’t her compositions famous like Mozart?  These question and others will be soon answered.
Maria Anna Mozart was born July 30, 1751 in Salzburg. Lovingly she was nicknamed Nannerl. She grew up in a loving Christian household.  The Mozart family loved music. She was the eldest child to survive out of infancy. Her brother the more renowned Wolfgang Mozart was five years her junior. Her father taught her to play the piano. She was 8. She was taken on concert tours, but when she began to get older she was left in Wolfgang’s shadow. Lepold Mozart did not believe that women could become composers or great musicians this was the cultural thoughts at the time. As her father he wanted her to become a wife a mother in her older years and not traveling and adeptly playing music.
Maria was the First Prodigy in her family, but she is not as well remembered. In her child hood she traversed on wonderful tours. But as she began to mature, she slowly began to fade into the background. She was in the shadow of her prodigy brother, whom she helped teach. She kindly assisted him in composing his first symphony. Although Maria Mozart was thought to be one of the finest pianist in Europe, she was not enable to compose music because she was a woman. Sadly, she was reduced from composing Amazing works of art to teaching music lessons. She was forced to stay home while people were awestruck by her brother’s talent. Maria Anna was not even able to pocket any of the money it always spent on her brother and his tours. Even though she was the first prodigy of the Mozart family being a girl held her back from her full potential as a composer and musician.
Later in Life Maria Anna Mozart was married to Johann Sonneburg in 1783. Her father refused to let her marry her true love, Franz d'Ippold.  Franz was a captain and tutor. She respected his wishes and married Johann. Johann had five children from a previous marriage. They had three more children together. Presently she began writing a biography about her brother Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. She collaborated with his wife others who loved him. She died October 29, 1829 St Peters cemetery.
Maria Anna Walburga Ignacia Mozart was a greatly adept prodigy, but she was forgotten due to being a woman. If she had been allowed to soar who knows maybe she would the Mozart we know and love.   She was enchanted with music. Although she did not reach her full potential, she should be remember as a wonderful pianist although she was the forgotten Mozart.

Little Rock Nine

The little rock Nine was a group of brave teens. They were willing to be bullied and beaten so that we could go to integrated schools and homeschool co-ops. They were African-American teenagers who stood up for racial equality. After the Brown vs. Board of Education, southern schools refused to let African-American students attend formly all-white schools. But these teens were willing to
pave the way no matter what the consequence. The names of the little rock nine are Carlotta Walls, Jefferson Thomas, and Gloria Ray ,Paul Laurence, Ernest Green, Elizabeth Eckford, Thelma Mothershed, Terrence Roberts, Minnijean Brown, and Melba Pattillo. When they began attending Central high in Little Rock, Arkansas, they were met by irate mobs. This proves that now matter how young or old you are you can make a difference. I encourage you to make a difference serve at a homeless shelter, volunteer at a hospital or animal shelter, collect food for a food pantry. There are so many things you can do to make a difference. I encourage just get out there and do it. Let's go and make a difference for the Lord.

1 Corinthians 10:31
