Officer Wilson killed an innocent teen, Michael Brown. Justice was not served today. I believe he should have been indited. The Jury did not make the correct decision. Many people a protesting this. In Chicago, large groups are walking peacefully through the streets demanding Justice for Michael Brown. In Ferguson , Missouri, the crowds have began to riot. Some people are even setting things on fire. People are irate about this injustice. I do not think that violence is the answer though. But I do believe that peaceful protesting is good. As Americans we have a right to protest. We have a right to stand up for what believe in. I believe that this act of violence against Michael Brown was inherently wrong. This officer deserves to be punished for his actions. Even people who kill others by accident are punished for reckless man slaughter. I want to know what you think. What do you think?

Why I love reading and writing?
I have been reading ever since I was 4. I always wanted to
read. When I was 3 I would pretend to read books and write cursive. I was very
enthused when my mother taught me how to read my first year of homeschooling.
The book I learned how to read from was Sally,
Dick, and Jane. I remember reading and rereading that book. I would become so jubilant when I finished it
in only one day. As I grew older I began
reading larger books. I read everything from biographies to the Boxcar
Children. My favorite childhood authors
were Frances Hodges Burnett and Gertrude Chandler Warner. When I was younger I
occasionally wrote short stories and poems.
I really fell in love with writing last year in 8th grade
when I wrote my first novella. Ever since then you could say I have been
addicted to writing. I have so many beautiful ideas I want to share them with
the world and isn’ t that basically what reading and writing are sharing
stories. But why do I love reading and writing so much? What is so good about
good book? How can reading and writing open your eyes? What messages or morals
are authors trying to share? Let’s discover why I love reading. And why reading
and writing is imperative
A book, it is paper, a binding, pictures, and words. What
makes up a lovely enchanting read I think the four basic things for a rad read
and wonderful writing are perspective, writing style, vocabulary, and storyline
. There are several aspects to perspective. Perspective can be person like 1st
2nd 3rd person, although 2nd person is rarely
utilized. There also the way the world is thought about through the author’s
characters. You can learn a lot about an author by just reading their books.
Authors are usually readers before they were authors. So usually there writing
style is a unique combination of their favorite authors and their own unique
spin. Some people have a more serious writing style. Others have an out of the
box writing style. Still others have a hilarious sarcastic writing style. Some even have a poetic writing style. The
way an author uses his or her words can evoke emotions sadness, happiness,
imagination, thoughtfulness and so much more. They do this through the
storyline also. Many books have multiple storylines. They have a major
storyline and minor storylines. These can include internal or external
conflict. Internal conflict is a fight within for example The Scarlet Letter and Johnny Tremain.
External conflict is like a fight with a villain for example The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. A villain
does not have to be a person it can be a thing like poverty or war. All of these
aspects make up lovely read. When I am writing these are things I begin think
about before I start a project. But as
you write you will get sudden inspiration and no amount of prep can help get
that. Some of my most beautiful writing has been spontaneous. Writing a book is
much more than just putting words on paper. It is an art.
Would
you like to travel with me to a secret island? You can in a book. I can go
anywhere in a book. Books are freeing. Writing is free. When write I become a
totally different person. I am not me I am someone else. This also happens when
I read. I have never left the country yet I have been around the world. I have
been to the future to the past other countries. I have gotten to see ,feel, and
experience things I never would have unless I read. Reading is exhilarating.
While reading I have been fighting for my life in the Hunger Games. While
reading I have been shot by the Taliban in Pakistan. While reading I have been flying
in the air for years yet I was denied the right to pilots license. I have done
so many things while reading. If you read, you will get amazing out of this
world experiences. You will hear things that you would never hear otherwise.
You will spot amazing structures that you would never see otherwise. The best
part about Reading and Writing is I get to live thousand lives. I get to feel a
million things. I get to laugh with the characters. I get to cry with the
character. I get to run for my life with the characters. As a reader and
writer, I know that when you write you are not in control of the characters.
The characters are your friends and they may surprise you. So if you want to
travel to that island open a book.
Messages,
we hear messages all around us. But some of the most important ones are in
works of creative amazing literature. Stories like The Giver, Flygirl, I am Malala, To Kill a Mocking Bird, and The
Narrative of Fredrick Douglass. They all have a messages to share. The
messages are sometimes more abstract and you have to think about. They can also
be simple and blunt. They can be clandestine and thoughtful. Out of the titles
about I would say To Kill A Mocking Bird and The Giver have more clandestine
and provocative messages.
When you write you can share a
message to. The words from a pen can inspire. One of my favorite sayings is the
pen is mightier than the sword. This holds true. God’s own very word was
written with the pen and yet it is mightier than any two edged-sword. With our pens and paper we can change the
world for God. We can share a message of God’s love that might not have been
told if it weren’t for that story. Books have messages. Writing is to share a
message. I think the writing and reading are one of the two most powerful
things in the world. God knew this that why he put his words on paper because
he knows one book his book can and did change the world. It gave the message of
salvation.
What do
you concure from all this? I hope I have relayed to you in enough detail that I
am thoroughly in love with reading and writing. I think that books are
powerful. Books have different facets that make them great books. Books are
also wonderful because they can transport you through space and time. You can
be a million people. I also love books
because of the messages you get from them. If you do not like to read maybe if
you find a really good book that you love you will change your mind and realize
that reading is really fun, and writing is also. If everyone wrote a little more and read a
little more I think that the world would become even more connected. So the
next time you go to the Library or book store Get A book and READ. Because
reading is a powerful thing.
