America's Wealth Distribution, Is it possible to achieve the American dream? Poverty in the U.S.

America's wealth distribution is not good for many poor and middle class citizens. The rich get richer while the poor and middle class struggle along. The top 1% has a good portion of America's wealth.  How many people do you think are at or below poverty? About 46.5 million American's are at or below poverty. This is more people in poverty than in the great depression. The percentage of poverty is 15%. I think it is time to call the recession a depression. Inflation is rising, but minimum wage is not. The middle class and poor are suffering. What happened to the great American dream. The great American dream went down the drains in 2007 and 2008. The gap between the rich and middle class and poor is widening. This is not just. How can Americans pursue their dreams in such an unfair economy? As many poor and middle class children know, the only way to get out of the rat race is education. The only way to save yourself from generational poverty is Education.
Some people say that the poor are lazy and fat. That is true for some, but most people in poverty have been hit by  hard times. Most people who are impoverished are in poverty, because their business failed or they lost their job. Some people say jobs aren't hard to find.  Minimum wage jobs are not hard to find, but you cannot feed your family working minimum wage. Minimum wage is not even enough for one person to live off of. Many skilled and adept workers can't find jobs that pay enough. There are jobs. But they don't pay enough. We must do something about this widening gap. Also the reason poor people tend to get fat and eat less healthy foods, this is because they cannot afford the higher priced healthier food. The middle class also is suffering. We need to open our eyes to the economic issues. We lost the war on poverty, so now we need a new war on poverty. As an American I want everyone to have a shot at the American Dream.

Martyrs Killed for Christianity in Niger. Let's Pray

Christians being killed for their faith in many countries. We must pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Matthew 16:24

New Living Translation (NLT)
24 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross, and follow me.

We should take up our crosses and follow Christ. Christ want us to be dedicated to him. We must follow him, and grow more like him each and every day. Sometimes the cross will be easy. Sometimes it will be very heavy. Jesus will always be there to help us take up cross and follow him. Many of our Brothers and sisters in Christ are suffering through persecution.  Recently Christians in Nigeria were killed for Taking up their crosses. Muslim attackers killed innocent Children and Pregnant women in their sleep. This is sad and tragic. WE must pray.

A Man Arrested for Overdue BOOK in Texas

A man was arrested for an overdue book. He said Quote "I think I will probably just purchase a book from Amazon." So do you think he should be arrested for an overdue book. This frightens me, because I am a book worm and have lost books and turned in many overdue books. Will this make people less likely to go to the library. What do you think? Have you ever had an overdue book. I think this outrageous. Lucky for me they don't arrest people for over-due books in my state/ Otherwise I would have made several trip to the juvenile detention center. What about you?

Christmas Christ's Birthday

Since Christmas is all about Christ's birth. Through the Bible I will tell you the story of his birth. I got these from the books of Matthew 1,2 Luke 1,2.

In the sixth month after Elizabeth had become pregnant, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee. 27 He was sent to a virgin. The girl was engaged to a man named Joseph. He came from the family line of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. 28 The angel greeted her and said, “The Lord has given you special favor. He is with you.”
29 Mary was very upset because of his words. She wondered what kind of greeting this could be. 30 But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary. God is very pleased with you. 31 You will become pregnant and give birth to a son. You must name him Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High God. The Lord God will make him a king like his father David of long ago. 33 He will rule forever over his people, who came from Jacob’s family. His kingdom will never end.”
34 “How can this happen?” Mary asked the angel. “I am a virgin.”
35 The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come to you. The power of the Most High God will cover you. So the holy one that is born will be called the Son of God. 36 Your relative Elizabeth is old. And even she is going to have a child. People thought she could not have children. But she has been pregnant for six months now. 37 Nothing is impossible with God.”
38 “I serve the Lord,” Mary answered. “May it happen to me just as you said it would.” Then the angel left her.
19 Her husband Joseph was a godly man. He did not want to put her to shame in public. So he planned to divorce her quietly.
20 But as Joseph was thinking about this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream. The angel said, “Joseph, son of David, don’t be afraid to take Mary home as your wife. The baby inside her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She is going to have a son. You must give him the name Jesus. That is because he will save his people from their sins.”
22 All of this took place to bring about what the Lord had said would happen. He had said through the prophet, 23 “The virgin is going to have a baby. She will give birth to a son. And he will be called Immanuel.” (Isaiah 7:14) The name Immanuel means “God with us.”
24 Joseph woke up. He did what the angel of the Lord commanded him to do. He took Mary home as his wife. 25And Joseph gave him the name Jesus.
In those days, Caesar Augustus made a law. It required that a list be made of everyone in the whole Roman world. It was the first time a list was made of the people while Quirinius was governor of Syria. All went to their own towns to be listed.
So Joseph went also. He went from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea. That is where Bethlehem, the town of David, was. Joseph went there because he belonged to the family line of David. He went there with Mary to be listed. Mary was engaged to him. She was expecting a baby.
While Joseph and Mary were there, the time came for the child to be born. She gave birth to her first baby. It was a boy. She wrapped him in large strips of cloth. Then she placed him in a manger. There was no room for them in the innThere were shepherds living out in the fields nearby. It was night, and they were looking after their sheep. An angel of the Lord appeared to them. And the glory of the Lord shone around them. They were terrified.
10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy. It is for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you. He is Christ the Lord. 12 Here is how you will know I am telling you the truth. You will find a baby wrapped in strips of cloth and lying in a manger.”
13 Suddenly a large group of angels from heaven also appeared. They were praising God. They said,
14 “May glory be given to God in the highest heaven!
And may peace be given to those he is pleased with on earth!”
15 The angels left and went into heaven. Then the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem. Let’s see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”
16 So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph and the baby. The baby was lying in the manger. 17 After the shepherds had seen him, they told everyone. They reported what the angel had said about this child. 18 All who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them.
19 But Mary kept all these things like a secret treasure in her heart. She thought about them over and over.
20 The shepherds returned. They gave glory and praise to God. Everything they had seen and heard was just as they had been told.
Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea. This happened while Herod was king of Judea.
21 When the child was eight days old, he was circumcised. At the same time he was named Jesus. This was the name the angel had given him before his mother became pregnant.
22 The time for making them pure came as it is written in the Law of Moses. So Joseph and Mary took Jesus to Jerusalem. There they presented him to the Lord. 23 In the Law of the Lord it says, “The first boy born in every family must be set apart for the Lord.” (Exodus 13:2,12) 24 They also offered a sacrifice. They did it in keeping with the Law, which says, “a pair of doves or two young pigeons.” (Leviticus 12:8)
25 In Jerusalem there was a man named Simeon. He was a good and godly man. He was waiting for God’s promise to Israel to happen. The Holy Spirit was with him. 26 The Spirit had told Simeon that he would not die before he had seen the Lord’s Christ. 27 The Spirit led him into the temple courtyard.
Then Jesus’ parents brought the child in. They came to do for him what the Law required.
28 Simeon took Jesus in his arms and praised God. He said,
29 “Lord, you are the King over all.
Now let me, your servant, go in peace.
    That is what you promised.
30 My eyes have seen your salvation.
31     You have prepared it in the sight of all people.
32 It is a light to be given to those who aren’t Jews.
It will bring glory to your people Israel.”
33 The child’s father and mother were amazed at what was said about him.34 Then Simeon blessed them. He said to Mary, Jesus’ mother, “This child is going to cause many people in Israel to fall and to rise. God has sent him. But many will speak against him. 35 The thoughts of many hearts will be known. A sword will wound your own soul too.”
36 There was also a prophet named Anna. She was the daughter of Penuel from the tribe of Asher. Anna was very old. After getting married, she lived with her husband seven years. 37 Then she was a widow until she was 84. She never left the temple. She worshiped night and day, praying and going without eating.
38 Anna came up to Jesus’ family at that very moment. She gave thanks to God. And she spoke about the child to all who were looking forward to the time when Jerusalem would be set free.

39 Joseph and Mary did everything the Law of the Lord required. Then they returned to Galilee. They went to their own town of Nazareth. 40 And the child grew and became strong. He was very wise. He was blessed by God’s grace.
After Jesus’ birth, Wise Men from the east came to Jerusalem. They asked, “Where is the child who has been born to be king of the Jews? When we were in the east, we saw his star. Now we have come to worship him.”
When King Herod heard about it, he was very upset. Everyone in Jerusalem was troubled too. So Herod called together all the chief priests of the people. He also called the teachers of the law. He asked them where the Christ was going to be born.
“In Bethlehem in Judea,” they replied. “This is what the prophet has written. He said,
“‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah,
are certainly not the least important among the towns of Judah.
A ruler will come out of you.
He will be the shepherd of my people Israel.’” (Micah 5:2)
Then Herod called for the Wise Men secretly. He found out from them exactly when the star had appeared. He sent them to Bethlehem. He said, “Go! Make a careful search for the child. As soon as you find him, bring me a report. Then I can go and worship him too.”
After the Wise Men had listened to the king, they went on their way. The star they had seen when they were in the east went ahead of them. It finally stopped over the place where the child was. 10 When they saw the star, they were filled with joy.
11 The Wise Men went to the house. There they saw the child with his mother Mary. They bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures. They gave him gold, incense and myrrh.
12 But God warned them in a dream not to go back to Herod. So they returned to their country on a different road.

The U.S. Spying on Israel's top leaders

What do you think about the U.S. spying on Israel? I think that it is a terrible idea. Israel is one of our allies. We don't want to loose an ally neither  do we want to become over vigilant country. As allies you use trust the other country. You don't have people hack into the top leaders email and other personal information. Please tell me what you think

Taking the Christ out of Christmas

Christmas is all about Christ right? Christmas is the celebration of Christ's Birthday. Then Why do people say 'happy holidays' versus 'merry Christmas'. People are beginning to take the Christ out of Christmas. They say Happy Holidays instead of Merry Christmas. They call the Christmas tree a holiday tree. Christ's birthday is being erased from Christmas. As teens it is our job to bring the CHRIST back to CHRISTmas. This Christmas season as you celebrate Christ's birth remember Christmas is all about him.

Being rich or well-off, a get out of jail free card?

The justice system is in America is so unjust. A rich teen got 10 years of probation and no jail time, but he killed 2 drunk driving and paralyzed another person, because of Affluenza aka being privileged or well off. That basically means that if you are rich or well off you can commit any crime you want to and get little to no time, but if you are lower middle class or poor you have to do the time. I say if you do the crime do the time. America's courts are very unjust in many ways. No one gets a fair trial. What do you think would have happened if this was a less privileged teen or a African-American, Latin-American, or Asian-American teen? Would he have gotten no jail time too? It is sad that you get more time, because of your race or the amount of money your parents make.

Remebering the Newton Shooting, we should pray.

The Newtown shooting was a very tragic event. Many children and teachers died. Some teachers sacrificed their lives for their students. We need to pray for the parents, family, and friends of the deceased. We should thanks God that these self-less teachers laid down their lives for their students. We should also pray for those, who have lost loved ones.

John 15:13

New International Version (NIV)
13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

What Monsanto does not want you to know about Gmo food!

Gmos if you have never heard that term before. You are in for a shocker. Gmo means Genetically Modified Organism. Would you want to eat a genetically modified organism? Would you want to eat something that would cause and insects stomach to explode? Your answer should be no. But you probably are eating these kinds of things. If you eat non-organic or food that does not say non-gmo. You are probably eating foods with gmos. What is wrong with Gmos? Doesn't the FDA regulate that type of stuff? Gmo's cause cancer, allergies, asthma, and autism, among many other things. Yes, the FDA "regualtes" stuff, but the FDA officials are not elected therefore they are from the companies creating the Gmo crops for example Monsanto. Forget anything you've ever heard that says Gmos are good, because they are very bad. This is a picture of gmo fed rats, they are the rats at the bottom. The rats at the top are regular rats. They don't label gmo foods either, because they don't want you to know that they are not good for you. They also don't want you to avoid Gmos. What do you think about Gmos? Great movies to watch about this subject are Forks over Knives and Fat,Sick, and Nearly Dead,

What do you think about a minimum wage increase?

Do you think minimum wage should be increased? I think that it will cause inflation, but I do think minimum wage should be increase, but in small increments. For example .50 cents a year. Minimum wage does not even pay enough for a single person to live on. It is only enough for college and high school student. What do you think? Do you think minimum wage should decrease to combat inflation?

Chinese labor camps are now being changed to "drug rehabilitation camps". The names are changing, but the cruel treatment is not changing. Chinese citizens are put in labor camps without a trial. They are forced to work and make some of the items We BUY in american stores. Maybe we should not buy Chinese made merchandise. What do you think?
